Shielding/Star Grounding/Shock Mitigation. Your guitar has some level of shielding that allows it to not "hum" around stage lights and regular house current. Often it's not enough, especially for single-coil guitars like Stratocasters. We go in and complete whatever shielding is missing. While we are in your electronics we also eliminate "ground loops" using a "star-grounding" technique, to reduce more hum. Finally, we install a device which limits the amount of shock you can get touching mismatching grounds - typically your guitar's ground and that of your microphone. Still stings, but can save your life!
Schaller strap locks - quick and easy install on your guitar and strap to keep you from dropping your guitar on the stage as you move around. I have them on all my guitars. Available in chrome, gold, and black.
Coil-tapping humbuckers. Whether we're installing your first humbucker, or your guitar came with them, often we can wire it to switch to that Fender "single-coil" sound. The switch is either a small bat-handle switch, or is activated by pulling up on one of your rotary controls (e.g. volume)
Series/Parallel. New tones can be found by adding parallel and/or serial wiring in 2-pickup combinations.
High-pass for lower volumes - On some guitars, turning down the volume also reduces the treble. This simple modification allows more treble through as the volume goes down.
LSR Roller nut - eliminates binding strings after tremolo use - requires widening of string nut slot
Battery Box - no more removing the pickguard to change batteries.
MODULES FROM GUITAR ELECTRONICS
9-Volt External Battery System for Active Electronics - The X-Bat system Eliminates the need for internal batteries required to power active pickups and electronics. With the X-Bat system, the battery is located in the battery pack and the pickups and electronics are powered through the included stereo cable. It's like a 9-volt "phantom power" supply for your active instrument!
Low Battery Indicator for Active Pickups & Electronics - Low battery indicator circuit from Precision Music Technologies is specifically designed for use with pickups and electronics from EMG, Bartolini, Seymour Duncan and others that use 9 volt batteries. Micro sized (3mm) LED indicator lights when battery voltage is below 7.7V. This early warning notifies the player it's time for a new battery days BEFORE tone begins to suffer.
Fender Eric Clapton Mid Boost Kit - Add the features of the Eric Clapton model Strat to any guitar. System replaces one of the original tone controls with a variable "Midrange Boost" control. Boost gain is adjustable from 0dB (no boost) to 25dB (Killer mids) Great for clean and distortion tones.
Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster Circuit - Get all of the advantages of active pickups and have instant gain available with the twist of a knob. Crank up the gain to overdrive your amp to the ultimate distortion.
